I believe that every one and every thing reveals a bit of its history on the surface. That is why I create my abstract works using layer upon layer of paint and other media. My hope is that the viewer of a finished painting will enjoy a sort of anthropological experience, as glimpses of what lies beneath the surface – the first impression – are discovered.
